Toronto CNE 2022 Is Finally Here!!

After 2 years waiting the EX is finally on again!

Let's go see what's happening this year!

Let's go through the midway to get to the food building-

The place is jumpin'!!

Everybody's out this year!

Love this view, lot's of people too!

We're on our way past the food building to the art show at the Queen Elizabeth building.

There's a great National Geographic Exhibit

showing the history of the photography for their magazine.

Amazing work done by the first basic equipment they figured out

to shoot animals on land and under water!

Had to buy a new hat-

Makes me look like Ole' Saint Nick!

Behind me is the Princess Margaret Fountain on the way to the Better Living Building!

Now it's a farm inside-

Maybe they're trying to tell us that on a farm is better living!

Look out for those kissing cows!

Every year I visit the angel overlooking the lake.

Always a nice breeze off the lake and great view seeing the boats and distant shoreline!

Tops of the victorian buildings to the west of the CNE grounds, now house event space and Medieval times.

On the way back to the food building

we pass the fountain and what used to be the press building.

Let's go in for something to eat-

This will always be my favourite building!

For the Blog about the buildings on the grounds, click here!

We're back at the Enercare Centre!

Gotta pose in front of the Pride Display!

What's better than a rainbow?? Two Rainbows!!

Wow! Love the dancing, stomping Mexican Dancers!

Lots of colour and flair and smiles all around!

Gotta see the Heritage immersive art display-

Shows a video of pictures from the beginning of the CNE till today! Awesome!

See the video part one here!

See the video part two here!

After sunset a really great band rocks the Midway Stage!

Great guitar and singing out!

As the sun's light waned the lights of the rides came up!

People excited and screaming with glee!

That's just day one!

Keep scrolling for Day Two!!

Day two! We are going for the history walking tour of the grounds!

For my blog about CNE architecture, click here!

Gathering at the Princes' Gates,
we go through the Hall Of Names in the Enercare Centre,
and pas the Horses Palace,

The BMO Field and the fire hall.
Two very contrasting examples of architecture.

Kiddie Land with the Victorian buildings in the distance.

We passed by the Railroad Buildings and ended our tour at what was the press Building years ago.

Around the other side of the other side of the BMO Field

You can see the CN Tower overlooking the midway!

After a day of sight seeing, and overeating we can stop and listen to a band play Santana music while the sun goes down over the midway.

Beautiful!

Let's swing inside the Enercare Centre!

And they're showing history of dance to modern day!

How wonderful to see the First Nations Exhibit and learn from holograms their ways of life! Also in Enercare.

For the video of the hologram, click here!

So ends another perfect day at the EX!!

Day Three!!!

Couldn't get here till just past six! Not a good time to arrive - the place is packed!

Can't get anything to eat at the Food Building it's so crowded

so let's go shopping at the arts and craft show in the Queen Elizabeth Building, then sit down at the fountain.

Hey! What's that cool music behind us at the band shell??

Let's have a seat under a tree and chill for a while in the light breeze and listen to a Jazz/Latino mix, I think-

FANTASTIC!

On the way back to the Food Building we pass by the Withrow Common Art Gallery where they are showing Charles Pachter's humorous paintings of the Royals!

Continuing our hungry walk we see the fire hall and the CN Tower watching over the midway!

At Last, the Food Building, now we're able to get some food!

We can eat while watching a band playing at Northern Cafe next door. Cool Country Contemporary!

Passing by the BMO Field we can see it's packed to the rafters,

but so is the midway so abetter way to the Enercare Centre

is around the horse palace!

Here's the entrance on the west side
across from the Food Building.

Taking a peek inside at the horse paddocks.

More horsin' around!

At the Enercare Centre I had good conversation with First Nations people, great to hear more of their culture.

I also watched more of their halograms!

The Plastic Trap Sculpture

reminds us of our overuse!

What a great idea- let's go to the drone light show-

WHAT?? It's cancelled??

It was breezey today, but I thought it was alright by now!

Tons of people  waiting around, the midway is full! Let's go around the Horse Palace again!

Everything is all aglow as we look from the Enercare  Centre!

Time to say goodbye for another year!

But wait!! There's the air show on the weekend!

The last Friday is the perfect day for an air show!!

Hold yer breathe while the Stealth screams by!!

Now we can say goodbye to the CNE!

Goodbye Air Show!

Goodbye Summer- wait a minute- I'm not done with summer yet!!

See yas next EX !!
