Yes! PRIDE for me starts with the spiritual! Here I am at St. Andrew's United Church on Bloor East after I said a prayer for the Church and Wellesley Community and the PRIDE Celebrations that were going on during PRIDE Month.

 

 

The weekend before the Parade during the Street Fest I had to get out and see what was going on and of course, if nothing was happening, I had to get the party started!! 

 

 

One must start with a few understated hats and costumes-

Ya hafta save the best for last, Dahlings!

 

 

 

 

Take me to the land where unicorns play and rainbows bend! 

Just use your imagination!

Exercise it to dream a little and see what beauty your mind can create!

Friday of PRIDE Weekend I had to come out with my finest and yet newest outfit!!

This hat is Dudley's Hardware and the 519 Church Street Community Centre.

Be sure to let your light shine! 

 

At night the fairies came out all aglow!!

The street is beginning to come alive!!

 We are all part of one big show to let the world know we are real!

 

 

 

I had to light up my hat -  as if my costume wasn't bright enough!

Dahlings, you can NEVER have too much glitter or too many sequins!

This is the Land of Oz! One must dress appropriately!! 

  

 

The next day there were more performers, princesses and of course princes like me!

Missed the kilted bands at the start, 

but saw the red coats coming from Vaughan! 

Beautiful sea of bright red filling Yonge Street!

 

 The sound of the band permeating the crisp air blowing around us!

Hard to catch a breath with the chill in the air!

 

Well this St. Patrick sculpture was certainly full of air! 

How many horse power under that hood? 

 The dragons soon took over!

They can fly!

 

 This band is being carried on the wind gayly forward!

 

 Hey!! The Mexicans are stopmin and dancin their way downtown!

So much colour and excitement with yelps and cheers as they go!

Christmas Market 2025!

 

 What a beautiful day! 

Mostly sunny, perfect to take in the funshine at the Distillery! 

 

Everything bright and colourful! 

   

 

The base of the tree had a train circling through Christmas Villages!

It's getting cold out but theses carolers sure warm yer heart!

 

It's getting crowded as the sun goes down,

But the lights are coming up and it feels like Christmas is here!
