St. Patrick's Day Parade!!

 

Missed the kilted bands at the start, 

but saw the red coats coming from Vaughan! 

Beautiful sea of bright red filling Yonge Street!

 

 The sound of the band permeating the crisp air blowing around us!

Hard to catch a breath with the chill in the air!

 

Well this St. Patrick sculpture was certainly full of air! 

How many horse power under that hood? 

 The dragons soon took over!

They can fly!

 

 This band is being carried on the wind gayly forward!

 

 Hey!! The Mexicans are stopmin and dancin their way downtown!

So much colour and excitement with yelps and cheers as they go! 

 Give us a twirl Senoritas!

 

More red coats blaring their cheerful songs!

I may not be Irish, but,.... 

 

Elvis always shows up!

 

 

 

 

More bands play while others crank up recorded music, all in Irish style!

Christmas Market 2025!

 

 What a beautiful day! 

Mostly sunny, perfect to take in the funshine at the Distillery! 

 

Everything bright and colourful! 

   

 

The base of the tree had a train circling through Christmas Villages!

 

 

Yes! 

It was love at first sight!! 

Always liked a man in uniform!

 

 

 

 

 

 Speaking of uniforms,

Who doesn't like Santa, or a row of them?

  

 

 

Oh no! I'm on the NAUGHTY LIST!! 

 

It's getting cold out but theses carolers sure warm yer heart!

 

It's getting crowded as the sun goes down,

But the lights are coming up and it feels like Christmas is here!

 Arrived late to find the route was packed!

Saw new floats and the excitement still brings me joy! 

 

  

 

Wonderful to see a float based on First Nations stories of their history!

Looks like its headed south!

Some elves fly without reindeer! 

 

Maybe they get discounts??

 

 

 

 

Ahh! That must where they go for holidays after the toys are made!

 

Island fever, better than winter flu!!

 

 

It's a Lego robot world!

 They are always clownin' around!

Can't stop'em!

Even if you turn them on their heads!!

 

 

 

Christmas Dragons always my favourite!

 

 The cold damp wind was unbearable, but didn't stop theses guys!

 

 

 

 

Some reindeer joined the band!

 

 

 

 

 

  

 Everyone can join the celebration!

That includes those who are Two Spirited!

 

 Steel drum bands also make the Season bright!!

Ushering in her #1 man,

And ours!!

It's crowded out here!! 

Every Halloween more and more frolickers are joining in the party on Church Street!

 Creatures great and small are roaming through the crowds!

Things aren't always what they appear!

 

 

You can see it in their faces!

So finely decorated and adorned, 

 

 

 

 

 With flowers and candles,

Some are celebrating the dead,

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's a celebration of life! 

 

My dear, 

your body bling is divine! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some are celebrating life after death!

Shining stars in the wee hours!

 

 

 

 

All glowing in the darkness,

celebrating the light,

In the dark of the night! 

 

 

 

Found another Hatter! Part of the family!

Have we both gone completely mad?? 

 

 

 

 

The party went on late into the night, 

everyone sharin' the love!  

 

 I have my own magic to shine!

Come out and shine like you never have before!
