Riding along Wellesley past Queen's Park to Harbord!

Starting out we pass this new gleaming tower

just east of Yonge Street.

So aerodynamic, but on windy days

it sounds like a jet taking off!

From new to old

This one is part of a group

with very masculine features from the 1960's

But most have been torn down.

Here we are just north of Queen's Park

about to cut through to Harbord

This park is surrounded by

towers of many different styles!

Now we are crossing over to Harbord

and biking West

Passing some of the university buildings

Downtown towers gleaming in the distance
Behind more of the university buildings

Victorian architecture
contrasting the modern library

Jewish Campus Building
in modernist style

Bold colour under luminous sky!

Brilliant alley way
art gallery!

Let's ride on down to
Little Italy!
Great restaurants, many places to socialize!
Condos converting many notable architectural sites!
Sneaky Dees at Bathurst and College
A hot spot when it's open!

Kiddy corner is a Beautiful church inside a condo tower,
Wonderful space lit by modern stained glass wall at the back,
Quiet space for meditation and worship.

As we bike along College,
We see a historic fire hall,
kept immaculate, standing proud!

Across the side street is
Church Of St.Stephens-In-The-Fields,
One of the oldest in Toronto, built in 1858.

Spadina looking north,
we see the U of T School of Architecture

Looking south we see China Town!
And of course the CN Tower!

Modern Library complying with
the restrictions!

Typical Toronto townhouses
guarded by the overseeing CN tower!

U of T grounds north side,
The park normally a quieter spot but is now under construction.

Nice Reflections along the way!
Victorian architecture
against the modern tower on University.

Stopping at University and College,
we see Queen's Park to the North

and the spectacular curved tower at the corner.
It's lines are timeless!

General Hospital
Brand new building
Monolithic and bold against the sky!

The Ontario Fire Fighter's Memorial
at Queen's Park.

The Fire Fighter's Prayer
The stone at the entrance to the memorial.

Now we find ourselves back at Queen's park just south of Wellesley,
Where we started. Sure saw a lot of fine architecture!
Hope you enjoyed the ride!
