August 2025, Summer 's End

Toronto CNE is on and summer is winding down,

The first day was under cloudy grey skies but that didn't stop anyone from enjoying the party!

So I had to go anyway!

Here I am day one at the Princes' Gates, my favourite entrance, so grand!

What shall I see first?

Well I missed this act, acrobats and juggling while hanging from a huge balloon! I can only imagine!

Did he juggle fire below a balloon filled with helium.....

Saw the immersive art exhibit telling stories from other countries including First Nations about creation of humans!

Fantastic!!

Above is from the story of China's traditions.

 Love dragons and paper umbrellas!

So bright and so cheerful!

Love the First Nations still showing us their customs, traditions and displaying information of their history.

 Beautifully done!

Love the exhibit showing the History of the CNE!

Antiques, photos, and the cars from the FLYER!

Including grand events and the parade at the Princes' Gates!

 Still like the flowered animals!

Colours bright and rich give a blast of energy!

On my way to the food building!

Got my fav burger! No experimenting here! already had my hot ice cream waffle!!

I am a picky eater!

Still love the old building!! Same age as me, must say I've kept me paint better!

Out by the lake there is temporary art, painted in a day, shown for a few days then repainted, so bright and colourful on a cloudy day!

Can you find the hidden items?

Art is to challenge and make ya think!

A challenge too, painting out in the wind and rain- some had to! Today a little better co-operation.

 Meanwhile,

Back at the farm, where it's said now we have better living...

Animals pose for all the eager fans who havn't seen 4 legged creatures for a long time, except for the odd squirrel or racoon!

All racoons are odd!

Alpacas know how to please a crowd!

The sun starts her descent and the lights come up!

People get excited and line up for a fun ride!

Day one done!

Exhausted but it's worth it!

Day two I watch the dancers twirl and stomp out another terrific show!

The only thing that could distract me from my shopathon through all the booths from around the world!

It's a smashing day! Everything in full swing!!

OOOhhh- not going on that one! Im on the top of the woooooorld!! How long?? Are they stuck?

 Love the old fire hall!

Love the fountain, still kept up all these years!

More art by the lake!

The angel looks glorious in the sun!

Such a beautiful day! Warm sun, cool breeze, clouds like gobs of whipped cream!

Makes up for Day one!

Second look at the animals, then back to shopping!

Had to pick up more eccles,( english cakes which are light pastry with fruit jam bountiful inside) then wonder back through the grounds towards the Enercare Centre.

The sun is setting, the moon is rising!

The light is fading but the band plays on!

A beautiful site on my way back for the last time!

The lights again come up to dazzle and entrance us!

Candy, eye candy, everything sweet and enticing calling to us!

The CNE Grounds put on whole new look, shimmer and glimmer and glam!

Like a glittering jewel filled with screams of fear and delight from every corner of the midway!

The Enercare Centre glowing against the cobalt sky!

The happy moon overlooking the festivities below!

Time to say good bye for another year!

Great time,  happy memories, sentiment left behind!
