It's a dull day, but hey!
Not gunna miss this fer nuthin'!
This year I am chillin' and shoppin' mostly! And eatin' lots of food!
Went to the food building first to see the CN Tower through the water wall!
Tried the strawberry short cake frozen yogurt -
Awesome!!
Tasty treat by the water wall, chillin' before I hit the excitement outside!
My favorite place is the Water Wall at the Food Building, but gotta see more!!
For pics of CNE architecture, click here!
Very thick grey skies over the view of the Midway!
Was a gloomy day but people's spirits were high!
Gotta see the arts and crafts-
Luv cruising this building to see all the crafty, pretty things!
And they got great cookies from the UK here!
YAAAAA!!
Got the ice cream waffle and no line up when I came-
YUMMMMM!
And finally some sun splashing down all over!
In the Enercare Center there were some very effectionate tropical fish!
The sun went down and the lights came up!
The world's largest movable Ferris wheel is the star attraction! The Superwheel!!
Looks like the eye of London has come to watch over us!
Makes a great halo- eh?
On to more fun!
Another new ride!
Looks tame but highly computerized and can really whip ya around!
Had to walk through the midway and see all the lights and watch the people screaming on the rides!
Last thing I saw before going to the street car home- Awesome lights!
Tired now, so gotta hit the road to get home and rest up for day two- yup, I'm comin' back!
Keep scrolling- there's more!
Day two!!
Started with burger at the Food Building, of course!
Awe, the weather is getting better, a little sunshine coming!
Blue skies showing through puffy clouds and everybody is so happy!
Meanwhile back at the fountain, the ducks have taken over!
Beautiful dramatic skies have opened up!
Stopped at the Withrow Common Gallery to see the show
Pictures of all the great rock and roll performers over the years- FANTASTIC!!
Had to take a peak at Scadding Cabin on the grounds, beautiful little space, lovely garden and wonderful to see the history of this gem!
Next was the Better Living Building now known as the farm!
Great sand sculpture highlighting our endangered species- can't get better than that!
Leg cramp!! Had to rest a bit watching Mr. Moon!
Gorgeous sunset with the angel ready to watch over the night!
Mr Moon watching over the fountain as the light of day wanes!
Millions of people at the game and at the midway!
End of another terrific day at the EX!
One more day to go- keep scrolling!
Day three!!!
Had to go through the Princes' Gates this time- so beautiful!
Clear blue skies, gotta be a good day!!
Are yas excited?
Walk through the food trucks, not hungry yet!
Flying high over the city!
That's what I came for today!
More death defying acrobats suspended on high wires!
It is a stunning day! Everything shining bright!
Waiting for the Ice capades- nice and fresh in here!!
Music through the decades, dancing on ice with every style and matching outfits!
That's what I like!
Here there is an exhibit of doors...
These are the doors from the homes of ordinary people in Ukraine. Some have bullet holes, some have been burned. It tells the story very dramatically!
Time to say good bye to the CNE for another year...
But wait- gotta see the air show!
The first day was such a gloomy and chilly day, but that didn't stop me or thousands of others!
So tight a formation!
But rain did come and the Snow Birds could not finish their routine, so I have to come back!
On the holiday Monday I found a wide open park on the other side of Ontario Place- what a view! But, boy, it was hot that day! Just sweltering!
They finished their show this time!
AWESOME!
But now it's over and time to say goodbye to summer!
Lots of good memories to warm the winter months and cheer my heart!
