This trip we are going to make our way to the lake and follow the trail along the harbour.
Yes! This tower with cantilevered balconies
is at the base of Sherbourne Street by the Lakeshore!
From Ridpath's we can look out on the harbour
and see the open water to the island!
Riding past the refinery we see this wonderful mural!
The CN Tower peeks
through at us along our way!
WOW! Now that's really
living on the edge!
What's yer angle?
Every Balcony has a priceless view!
Next is the hotel at the base of Yonge Street
Here's the towers at the ferry docks.
What a contrast!!
Indigenous canoe in mirror sparkling in the sun,
but modern ships reflecting our ways behind it!
Sculpture in the garden
just across from the Harbour Center
We arrive at the Harbour Center!
Inside there are more places to eat
and cool off in the atrium.
Outside we see the harbour with all the ships
waiting to take you on an adventure!
On the other side of Harbor Center we find this far out pavilion!
When things open up there will be fairs tempting with goods from across the world!
As we ride farther west we see the CN Tower
and the Sky Dome, now the Roger's Center,
Billy Bishop Airport across the water,
And a beautiful marina!
Everything is gleaming in the hot sun!
This magical city in the woods is on the far east side of the Music Garden, next on our list of stops!
Take a detour to the garden by clicking here!
or scroll for more of the harbour!
Riding along Queen's Quay we find
a beautiful totem pole in Norfolk Park!
The park spreads to the lake,
a quiet oasis from the traffic!
The bike path leads us west and ends at another marina!
Follow the bike path past the marina, past the condos,
and we can see the old Tip Top Tailors building!
Cool grass, lots of shade and
a great view of the lake!
Luckily these two cargo planes are doing a flyby over Billy Bishop Airport!
We can see them from the War Memorial that is located in the center of the park.
Just across the Lake Shore Bld. are the Princes' Gates!
What a beautiful way to end such a sparkling day,
And a perfect ride!
